NIH Informaton Security Awareness Course
Client: National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Project: Information Security Awareness
Increasing use of the Internet to share information, conduct business, and communicate globally, has raised concerns of safety, privacy, legality, and security. With readily available hacking tools increasing the risk of hostile hackers breaking into networks and computer systems, and intrusion attempts growing in number and complexity, NIH’s mission, to improve health for everyone, is at risk. NIH’s information assets must be protected. Security is a necessity—not a burden. Computer security is everyone’s responsibility.

The NIH mission relies upon an open academic environment, and in the realm of information technology this puts a great deal of responsibility on NIH users to maintain computer security. Ever-changing security threats and the rapid growth of Internet tools and services (new forms of e-commerce, on-line communication tools, etc.) place an additional burden on users to remain ever vigilant and aware of the latest risks.

This in turn is a challenge for CIT – it is their goal to keep computer security in the forefront of users’ minds and keep users’ knowledge current. Because of this, all materials CTS prepared for this effort, both paper-based and electronic, were engaging and compelling in order to solidify NIH employees understanding of appropriate security procedures and motivate them to apply them.

NITACC ECS III Training Course
Client: NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC)
Project: NITAAC Learning Center (NLC) & ECS III Quoting System Tutorial
The NITAAC Learning Center (NLC) is designed to provide the latest information, training, tools and resources targeting the acquisition and procurement professionals. NLC is tailored to meet the needs of different audiences. Members of government agencies or industry can link from the NLC Home Page and find content geared specific to their needs. NLC provides the user access to a brain trust made up of industry experts, acquisitions and procurement specialists, IT strategists, technical developers and trainers, and NITAAC’s own in-house experts.

The Electronic Commodities Store III (ECS III) Quoting System tutorial was created to help trained procurement specialists learn how to use the ECS III Quoting System. The learning is completely self-directed – the learner may follow along sequentially or jump directly to any section. The learner is provided opportunities to work hands-on with the system in a simulated environment, and is provided opportunities to practice independently. At the end of the tutorial, which takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, the learner should be able to request quotes, convert quotes into orders, and manage their requests for quotes using the ECS III Quoting System.

NIH Poster Design
Client: National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Project: Poster Marketing Campaign for Information Security Awareness

Legacy Projects

CTS was one of the first companies to transfer paper-based and instructor-led courses to computer-based training for government agencies. As eLearning pioneers we bring a uniquely cultivated perspective to the process of design, development and deployment of online training products.

Below are brief narrated demos of a select group of our legacy projects to help illustrate the depth of our eLearning knowledge and experience.
